Nina McLemore Supports the Aspen Music Festival
P.A.L.S Program

June 18, 2018

Do you know about the Aspen Music Festival P.A.L.S. program? The program provides passes and lessons for children in the Aspen area to attend concerts and to take lessons from the musicians associated with the Aspen Music Festival.

We support several classical music and opera programs nationally, and they all find a high percentage of the young classical musicians are not from the large cities where you might expect, but from smaller towns where there is a classical music teacher who has recognized an exceptional talent. Not only does the P.A.L.S. program provide that opportunity, but it also provides the opportunity for lifelong love of classical music. In my case, I grew up in a very small town in Mississippi where we had a classically trained musician from Oberlin College. She trained us in voice and piano, and the love of classical music is an essential part of my life.

What makes Aspen special – of course there are the majestic mountains, the summer wildflowers, great food – and the Aspen Music and Ideas Festivals that no other small town has. My husband first came to the Aspen Music Festival in 1961 and later bought a home in Crested Butte.

I design our collection for the type of women who appreciate music, theater and the arts. Our clients include some of the speakers at the Aspen Institute, many professional and executive women, and women who appreciate our fine natural fabrics and designs that feature color, fabrics great for travel that fit women.

On July 2, we will host our 6th annual concert with a trio of young musicians and brunch at our Nina McLemore boutique at 675 E. Cooper Ave. in Aspen to benefit the P.A.L.S. program. I will be in the store on July 1 – 2. Any time you mention the Aspen Music Festival, we will donate 15% of the sales to the P.A.L.S. Program
