Minturn, CO (June 5 , 2017)—Blue Starlite Drive-In, a boutique drive in movie experience that holds the distinction of “Highest Drive-In in the world” returns this summer to Little Beach Park in the quaint Vail Valley historic mining town of Minturn, Colorado. Little Beach Park is nestled between the Minturn cliffs and Eagle Park, can accommodate up to 45 cars, as well as an comfortable separate outdoor seating area. Moviegoers of all ages are invited to bring a blanket or, park their car for a unique theatrical experience and, enjoy watching some of Hollywood’s greatest films in a completely immersive environment underneath the evening sky with gorgeous mountains in the background.
The Blue Starlite Drive-In experience involves their famous 50s-friendly customer service, and classic style movie concession stand featuring popcorn and traditional movie candy all while watching your favorite films on a 30 ft. pop up screen. For the more refined movie-goer, Blue Starlite will offer their signature campfire-roasted s’mores, exclusive ‘drive-in doughnuts’ curated by Northside Kitchen, Vail Valley’s premiere home-style eatery, and in a new partnership Colorado based Fuzziwigs Candy Factory, delectable treats that are sure to please kids of all ages.
The summer season features many classics films including; “Pulp Fiction,” “The Shining,” “Back To the Future,” alongside family favorites, “The Princess Bride,” “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Arc,” and “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.” This year’s line up also includes a special “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” and “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” double feature with a special pop up candy shop by Fuzziwigs Candy Factory and, for the ultimate Harry Potter Fan, Blue Starlite will offer specially crafted butterbeer made famous by the Harry Potter movies and books.

Movie and Music Thursdays include a night out pairing that starts with live music followed by a popular Hollywood music themed movie. About Blue Starlite Owner Josh Frank
Josh Frank is an entrepreneur, writer, producer, director and composer. He has penned numerous plays, including an authorized adaptation of Werner Hergoz’s Stroszek, screenplays, including an adaptation of Mark Vonnegut’s The Eden Express, and musicals, including The Jonathan Richman Musical. He is the author of Fool The World, the Oral History of the Band Called Pixies (St. Martins Press USA/Virgin Books U.K.) and In Heaven Everything Is Fine – The Unsolved Life of Peter Ivers (Simon and Schuster/Free Press). In April 2014, Harper Collins released his novel The Good Inn, co-written with Black Francis of the Pixies. Over the last decade, Frank has worked with some of the most interesting and innovative musicians, filmmakers, producers and artists in the industry, including Black Francis of the Pixies, David Lynch and Harold Ramis. He has also interviewed over 400 of America’s most notable names in entertainment for his books and screenplays. With the rest of his time, he runs Blue Starlite Mini-Urban Drive-In Movie Theaters.
