Beaver Creek and Food and Wine Magazine hosted another great event yesterday, Burgers and Brews. Everyone had so much fun and the food was incredible…nothing humble about these burgers! Chef Daniel Joly from Mirabelles created Open Face Asian Duck Confit on gluten free buns. Not only was the duck wonderful, but those gluten free buns were amazing. Baking at altitude is hard enough, but to do it gluten free…wow.

Everything was cooked outside and wow did it smell great! We could hardly wait to try them all!

Although you can’t see them, the brown boxes held zucchini fries and they were soooo good! I want the recipe for this great vegi gone bad!
Although the event was all about burgers, I guess they wanted to throw in a special treat for shrimp lovers. These special treats are an appetizer that can be made at home…jumbo shrimp on a skewer, jalapeno strip, wrapped in bacon and baked. Delicious!!
