At Vail Resorts safety is their top priority and as a result their safety team has grown tremendously in the past 50 years since they originally opened in 1962 with a dozen or less ski patrollers. For the past 12 years, Vail has been recognized by the National Ski areas association for their amazing on mountain safety programs. Check out the schedule below for the rest of the week and see demonstrations on some of these safety procedures being put to the test.
