The Taste of Vail lamb event brings out the Vail Valley’s finest chefs, all competing for the grand champion title. Vinters from across the globe also show up to showcase their finest wines. The all access pass for this event was $75; a small price when you consider the countless lamb dishes paired with wine samplings. Maybe one person could have tried it all, but that person certainly wasn’t me. The cook-off took place yesterday in the heart of Vail Village with gorgeous weather allowing for a simply delightful afternoon.

In addition to the foodand wine, we loved the efforts by local non-profit; Walking Mountains Science School. They had volunteers at every disposal station making sure compost, recycling, and waste all made the proper bins. They helped me learn a thing or two!
“Melt in your mouth” was a popular description. This little bite came from Wildwood Smokehouse.

The “street sweepers” were out in force. All the pups made sure no little bits remained unclaimed on the ground.
