What to do in the Vail Valley this September?

Hello September!

The leaves are beginning to change and the air is feeling crisp. Fall is a beautiful time here in the Vail Valley and there is lots of things to enjoy.

Starting on the 1st and ending of the 5th of September is the Vail Jazz Party. The grand finale of the Vail Jazz Festival, featuring an array of different musicians, such as: House Band with John Clayton, Terell Stafford, Wycliffe Gordon, Bill Cunliffe, Lewis Nash and many more.

The Farmers Markets are still in session! Go support local farmers and enjoy fresh local veggies and goodies. The Edwards Farmers Market ends September 17th, the Vail Farmers Market & Art Show goes through September and ends October 2nd, and the Minturn Farmers Market ends September 10th.

Gourmet on the Gore begins September 2nd through the 5th with different things ¬†going on each day. Enjoy some of Vail Colorado’s finest dishes and sips on a gourmet tasting tour. On Saturday bring a friend and your mat and stop by yoga at the Solaris Plaza Lawn. After yoga simply stroll to the Open Air Tasting and enjoy some tasty bites. There are fun things for the entire family. Bring your kids if they share a passion for food, they will surely enjoy the Kid’s Culinary Corner.

Hike, Wine and Dine in Beaver Creek on September 18th, a food experience unlike any other. The proceeds benefit the Shaw Regional Cancer Center. Hike up Beaver Creek and along the way enjoy gourment food stands that are scattered along the trail to keep you moving and a smile on your face from some of the valley’s best restaurants.

Dinner & a Movie, enjoy an evening of film and fine food. Hollywood screenwriter Robert Mark Kamen will be featuring a Night in the Clouds and Master Chef Daniel Joly will be serving a three course and Kamen’s award winning wines. Contact Mirabelle’s Restaurant for tickets.

Oktoberfest is here! Vail Oktoberfest begins September 9th-11th and 16th-18th and Beaver Creeks Oktoberfest is the 3rd and 4th, bring the whole family and enjoy a cultural experience. Enjoy authentic music, food, and beer… of course!

Everyone enjoy your September! Mark your calendars with all the different activities going on in the valley. Go for a hike, ride your bike and enjoy the turning leaves! Because snow is right around the corner and it wont be long before we are all on skis!
