On Monday July 9th join Vail Jazz for an evening of exotic rhythms, sultry songs, and delectable cuisine, featuring ‘Brazilian jazz’ vocalist, Carol Bach-y-Rita. The evening is a benefit for Vail Jazz education programs-with a dazzling array of premiere silent and live auction items and a special fundraising appeal, we’ll celebrate, sing and sway to the music of Brazil while supporting the future of jazz education and artistic diversity of our valley. The program provides passes and lessons for children in the Aspen area to attend concerts and to take lessons from the musicians associated with the Aspen Music Festival. We support several classical music and opera programs nationally, and they all find a high percentage of the young classical musicians are not from the large cities where you might expect, but from smaller towns where there is a classical music teacher who has recognized an exceptional talent. 5th Annual VAIL BLUEGRASS: Two Weeks Away!

Hello! Summer is officially in high (or is it hot?!) gear, and we here at Vail Bluegrass are so excited to kick off our 5th annual series in two short weeks. Below is a quick snapshot of what to expect across the four weeks. The free Wednesday night, Lionshead Village-based series kicks off June 27 with Asheville, NC’s River Whyless. Fresh on the heels of their new record, Kindness, A Rebel, River Whyless brings to Vail their traditional yet eclectic sounds of folk and bluegrass. Support by Steamboat Springs’ Buffalo Commons. As we turn the corner into July, Vail Bluegrass is pleased to present a free, day-long July 4 event.
