Hike, Wine, a Dine was this past weekend and what a treat it was. Nothing like strolling up Beaver Creek Mountain surrounded by the colorful leaves, enjoying gourmet foods! All while supporting a wonderful cause, all proceeds benefit Shaw Regional Cancer Center and Jack’s Place. The hike is an annual hike each fall. Starting at the base of the mountain with mimosas and breakfast. As you work your way along the trail, there are various food stations with delicious bites! Completing the hike with dessert! This is a wonderful event each fall that the whole family can enjoy!

The world’s best skier met at Beaver Creek Resort for the only United States tour stop. Hundreds of fans packed the Red Tail Stadium to watch the Men’s Downhill, Men’s Super-G and Men’s Giant Slalom Races. Ted Ligety, a crowd favorite in the GS unfortunately caught an edge and did not finish. Austrian Marcel Hirscher speedily maneuvered through the gates and won the GS on Sunday. Beaver Creek in the beginning of the season is a special place. The racers, the mountain and the beautiful Beaver Creek Village are a sight to see especially before the crowds come. On a day that the sun was shining on Beaver Creek there was a special moment for another American Skier.
