Vail Mountain Opens Blue Sky Basin

VAIL, Colo. – Nov. 29, 2018 – After receiving an additional four inches of snow overnight and more in the forecast through the weekend, Vail Mountain opened Blue Sky Basin today. This is the second-earliest opening for Blue Sky Basin in history, behind only the Nov. 25, 2002 opening. Vail is now offering 4,200 skiable acres of terrain, the most currently open in North America.   “There is no doubt that Vail is the place to be for the holidays. We have almost 80 percent of the resort’s terrain open, and it is still November,” said Doug Lovell, Vail chief operating officer. “This is the strongest start to a season that we’ve seen in decades, and it is only looking to improve with more snow expected over the weekend. Vail Resorts Opens China and Tea Cup Bowls!

Vail Mountain Offering Most Open Terrain in North America Resort Opens China and Tea Cup Bowls VAIL, Colo. – Nov. 26, 2018 – Continuing its legendary start to the 2018-2019 season, Vail Mountain opened China Bowl and Tea Cup Bowl today, with plans to open terrain in Siberia Bowl on Tuesday. Help Epic Mountain Express Fill the Van on Saturday, Nov. 3   The 2017 Fill the Van drive collected more than $12,000 in cash and more than 27,000 pounds in food donations for Colorado food banks   EDWARDS, Colo., Nov. 1, 2018 – Epic Mountain Express will host its 21st Annual “Fill the Van” food drive on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., when thousands of pounds of food will be collected across Colorado’s mountain communities for food banks. Amarula Instalation of Ice Elephant Sculpture

 In partnership with WildlifeDirect, Amarula is activating its ‘Don’t Let Them Disappear’ campaign on World Elephant Day (Sunday, August 12) On World Elephant Day, August 12, the installation will be unveiled at 9:00AM at Toronto’s Distillery District on Trinity Street/Case Goods Lane. Brand ambassadors will educate the public on the elephant cause from 12:00PM-4:00PM. Amarula is installing a 9,344 kg ice elephant sculpture to illustrate that, like the icebergs, the elephant population is melting. Their aim is to save the African elephant from being killed for its ivory.
